ABOUT
All schools face unique challenges, however, school size, location, and socioeconomic factors present many opportunities to hinder or influence the health and wellbeing of our students.
Larger schools present unique challenges to our staff and students such as overcrowding, lack of engagement, little notoriety, and high dropout rates. These challenges promote additional stress contributing to poor health behaviors and, eventually, poor health outcomes negatively influencing the quality of one's life.
However, on the contrary, there are also many advantages associated with attending a larger school, such as greater access to extracurricular activities and events which helps build peer and professional networks to support the healthy development of our students to ensure success.
